one of my earliest poems :)

LUCKY MANKIND

Asked the mortals to God,
"Oh! 'Mankind' why did you create
And made us suffer such a fate?
Pain, sorrow, selfishness everywhere
Worse than hell, we do swear!
Two eyes to see the wicked world and a microscopic brain
To think hard how to live; all efforts in vain,
What crime, God, what crime
Did mankind do to live in this time?
Eighty years of a miserable life, an aching head
One fine day announce a man dead!
Sympathizing him and remembering You
Feeling as if stamped by Your shoe,
What life is this, pray
Will You show we mortals our way?"

Answered God calmly,
"Oh my dear men, to be born is a boon
'cause life on earth's brighter than the moon
I've created you to rule the Universe
Even then you men simply curse.
To caress and rule over my other children
You’ve been created, my men.
Pain and sorrow are children of yours, not mine
My daughter is 'peace'; but you drank your wine
Killing her over the age.
Men, you put yourselves in the cage!
My mute children look up to you with loyalty
But your stony heart killed their prosperity.
Here, I send a purse full of 'goodwill'
Share it with all, let the 'peace' spill
In this world; making good these bad generations
You're lucky, mankind, the luckiest of all creations!
