Long time! Im in Bioinformatics now
Oh my! its been such a long time since i blogged... hmmmm.. well dint have much to write and totally forgot abt this thing...
As of now, Ive got admission to one of my desired courses, MSc Bioinformatics in University of Pune. Well, I'm lucky in getting to experience all moments of 'away from home' and learning to live on my own here, at this stage of life.
I believe it is very essential for every individual to live some moments of his/her life outside the shelter of one's parental/ ancestral home.. ofcourse i mean before getting married.. It makes you learn a lot, builds in you confidence to take matters in your hands and improves your decision making and risk taking abilities.
Now something about my course: its very intensive and good. The system, unlike my previous University, places a huge importance on internal examinations.. which is very good in the sense, it gives an ultimatum to be prepared with your syllabus and studies at any point of time. However, it is very hectic too. As I'm writing this, a small amount of worry also goes into my upcoming tests for tomorrow!
For self motivation, I think this hectic schedule is in many ways beneficial, as it teaches you to handle stress over a given period of time.. This is a preparatory phase for any kind of nerve-wrecking task in future.
I'm facing hurdles and very healthy competition in class, as the cream of brains have been chosen all over India for this course. Many a times I have also felt useless and little less intelligent that what I thought I was. I'm working on all these negative thoughts to go away. If I think that Im capable, I might as well do the same things better than what Im doing! Im overcoming all these thoughts and have promised myself to do my best and put 100% of my efforts. Rest I leave it to destiny, wherever it takes.
I wish I could establish myself as a Bioinformatician in the coming years. My focus as of today is on Drug designing and development related to Pharma-Biotech fields. I do hope that I perform atleast up to my own expectations.
Bye.. catch up later when I have the time and topic to discuss.
